Frequently Asked Questions

What is Early Learning Youth Sports?

We are a once a week sports program held at your child’s school. We teach children the skills and fundamentals of basketball, volleyball and soccer. With our structured curriculum, children will develop their motor skills, learn teamwork, and boost their self-esteem.

How are the sports taught? Are they competitive?

We teach one sport per week, and each sport is rotated and repeats cumulatively. We focus on the fundamentals of each sport and play fun games to integrate techniques and skills. Towards the end of the program, children are actively involved in a scrimmage game with their teammates/classmates.

How long is each class?

45 minutes

How much do classes cost?

Parents/guardians pay $15 per class and sign up for a minimum of four weeks at a time.

When and how can I register?

Register here any time during the school year. Our program is designed to be fun and easy. We review what was taught previous weeks to help chiLdren remember what was learned and for new children to get up to speed.

How do I know when to renew my child's registration?

Parents/guardians will be reminded one week in advance when it is time to sign up for more classes.

Are coaches certified and cleared to work with children?

Everyone working at Early Learning Youth Sports goes through the state of Arizona's fingerprint clearance card background check and are first aid and CPR certified.

Does Early Learning Youth Sports have any medical or accidental insurance?

ELYS carries over $8,000,000 in liability insurance.
